2025 Yamaha TMAX

I haven’t revisited the Yamaha TMAX since 2018 but as these are types of bikes aka maxi scooters are all the rage in 2025. So what has changed since the original was released 8 years ago? Firstly the TMAX has been updated over the years and the the bulk of the changes occurred with the 2020 update. So in 2025 what has changed and what has stayed the same?

In terms of mechanical specifications it has an updated in line 2 cylinder engine with a capacity of 560cc which is still huge in traditional scooter terms producing decent power at relatively low RPM and a fat torque curve at the same time. There is plenty of updated tech with new completely digital screen, Yamaha riders App with wireless start, navigation, blue-tooth music calls and text messages, USB charging, flashy new LED lighting, the usual suite of power modes and ABS controller and the new cruise control. It even has the large under seat boot for a full helmet. Unfortunately no steak knives for the 2025 update. 

As with all Yamaha motorcycles in 2025 there is one major problem with this scooter, the long winded name 2025 Yamaha TMAX Tech MAX and that is the price. It costs around $22,190 AUD – that’s just not realistic price tag if you really want to sell them.
