2010 Suzuki GSX-R1000 Vs 2010 Yamaha YZF-R1

This page is a specification comparison between the Suzuki GSX-R1000 and the Yamaha YZF-R1. These are two of my favourite sports motorcycles, the other one being the Honda CBR-1000RR. Note that manufactures don’t update their models every year as in the past decade!

The two super sport bikes are potentially the fastest and best handling motorcycles you can buy in early 2010. I use the term potentially because each motorcycle’s abilities are only as good as the rider – meaning you!

Personally I like the design of the GSX-R1000 more than the Yamaha R1 because it looks modern with retro touches like the exhausts. The R1 is modern too but hovers on the edge of over design. This means Yamaha designed the R1 as a edgy sports bike but then took chunks out of the fairing to make it less cohesive. Thankfully they don’t look the same. Both have the same issue of being physically small to make the ultimate design statement instead focus on high performance technicalities.
