CFMOTO 650TK

A relatively new motorcycle you can consider is the Cfmoto 650TK. The 650TK is the first real tourer in the class in the 650cc class and the only one you can also get in the as a learner or LAMS approved list. I think the 650TK is a fantastic model since the only other model in the same class is the Honda Deauville. As a result you can that the 650TK will not be a ‘fast’ motorcycle but for those who don’t mind riding at normal speeds this may be the bike you are looking for.

First of all Cfmoto is not a well known brand or manufacturer it’s models are made and targeted at the inexpensive end of the market. As a result you can’t expect state of the art technology in the engine or electronics. However it does have some more known parts in the suspension department. The 650TK’s reliability is still unknown as it’s only been on sale for less than 18 months.

In terms of looks the CFmoto 650TK could be mistaken for any number of tourers currently on sale but in isolation. The Honda ST series and the Kawasaki 1400GTR / Concours14 comes to mind in terms of similarity. Unfortunately the build quality and parts used while good for the price is not the same level as flagship tourers from the other manufacturers.

The 650TK has all the right equipment for a budget long distance tourer! Side panniers are standard and a top one can also be optioned, a huge front screen and upright seating at a reasonable height, 12V power socket, EFI and full instrumentation. Of course the equipment list is not complete and missing a few desirable items. For as start the 650TK has a final chain drive, it should be shaft for a tourer and missing the required centre stand. But before I complain any further did I mention the price? The 650TK is priced at $6990-$7990 ride away in most places!

The 650TK is a bargain motorcycle for any learner or commuter so deserves a serious look.
