Foundation Galactic Frontier – T3 Combat Craft – Raven

Welcome to the next chapter of my ongoing review series for Foundation: Galactic Frontier (July 2026). In this part, I’m taking a closer look at the Tier 3 Combat Craft — the Raven, a starfighter equipped with Ion‑based weaponry. As the next upgrade in the combat craft progression, the Raven stands above the T1 Double‑Edged Sword and the T2 Garrison, offering stronger technical specification.

The Combat Crafts are the ‘fighter spacecraft’ that you can build on your flagship, the Gram, Dermezel, Opportunity and Gungnir. There is a Flagship hangar facility that you can develop them and where they are stored. The Combat Craft mechanic is heavily built into the overall game play and it is important that you build and upgrade them. Note that while they add to your overall power stat these are disposable in battle so you need to keep building and repairing them. 

The T3 Combat Craft – Raven is one of many variants you can unlock in the game. The main difference between the other T3 Class is the weapon system specialisation. The Raven uses Ion weapons, which are better against Bean combat craft. Note that you can equip different types and classes of Combat Craft to your Flagship regardless of either’s specialisation but you can’t actually change Combat Crafts Class itself. 

In terms of design the T3 Combat Craft – Raven is another decent looking design that can been seen the actual TV series. I only recall the scene where it picks up a smaller transporter? The design is highlighted by the ring around the essentially candy bar main body. Watch the series for the full story arc!

The T3 Combat Craft – Raven tech specifications like firepower and durability are dependent on your character own level, flagship level, tech tree status and guild level. The key feature is that it belongs to the Ion class hence uses Ion weapons aka particle lasers. They are great against Beam ships and not so great against Kinetic  weapon equipped ships. 

So far the game continues to reveal its self to be quite deep in terms of the game mechanics. If you are a bit of a tech player than you can upgrade to your hearts content likes wise if solo or multiplayer you can head in that direction too. It is an enjoyable game to date – for a casual player.
