Foundation Galactic Frontier – T3 Flagellant 56

Welcome to the continuing video game review of Foundation : Galactic Frontier. (July 2026) In this part I’m reviewing the: T3 Combat Craft – Flagellant 56. This craft is uses Kinetic weapons but the next tier in the class compared to the  T1 – Maia  and T2 – Beggar.

The Combat Crafts are the ‘fighter spacecraft’ that you can build on your flagship, the Gram, Dermezel, Opportunity Gungnir. There is a Flagship hangar facility that you can develop them and where they are stored. The Combat Craft mechanic is heavily built into the overall game play and it is important that you build and upgrade them. Note that while they add to your overall power stat these are disposable in battle so you need to keep building and repairing them. 

The T3 Flagellant 56 Combat Craft is the first of the Tier 3 class of combat craft in the Kinetic range. It offers quite an upgrade to the Tier 1 and 2  ships as you can see in the base specifications below. Once again there isn’t a story to this particular ship, that I could read in game.  

In terms of design the Flagellant 56 is a very basic shape – boat like or perhaps an Army inspired armoured troop carrier but without the wheels. I also don’t recall seeing a similar design in the Foundation TV series.  Not much more I can elaborate about the design so it is a little boring. 

The T3 Combat Craft specifications are effected by the the level of your Flag ship, Research centre (tech tree) and the level of your guild and many more! Needles to say T3 is better than the T1 or T2 and as aways firepower and durability are dependent on your own level, flagship level and tech tree status. The key feature is that it belongs to the Kinetic class hence uses hard and projectile based weapons and ammunition. The only real in game advise is that Beam combat craft are better than Kinetic craft, Kinetic combat craft are better than Ion craft and Ion craft are better than Beam Craft.

The Foundation game (review) is definitely undergoing the refinement stage in the and beefing up the special events to coincide with the main calendar celebrations eg. Easter, Christmas, St Patricks etc.. Nice bonuses.
