GAS GAS EC 300 Special Edition Six Days

The GAS GAS EC300 Special Edition Six Days is a fancy name for a motorcycle which you’d probably expect me to write about. There is also a EC250 version if you prefer the smaller engine. Any GAS GAS ‘Six Days’ Special edition is named after the ‘International Six Days Enduro’ (ISDE) event.

GAS GAS is a Spanish motorcycle manufacturer, so fits perfectly with my travels in Spain if you’ve been following my Instagram page. GAS GAS specialises in making Trials and Enduro motorcycles, so it is a niche brand and manufacturer. The GAS GAS EC300 Special Edition Six Days will be a 2018 model, yet to be released so get your deposits ready if you are into this sort motorcycle!

The currently EC 300 prices start under $12,000 so it is relatively expensive for a motorcycle with a small engine but if you are familiar with Trials and Enduro riding comps then it’s quite reasonable. The support site is an amazing technical resource that details every part that the EC300 is made of. If you like to tinker than there is no other manufacturer that can give you this sort of technical detail. In fact I think the GAS GAS engines would make a great donor for any number of retro motorcycles.

Of course there’s a catch, the GAS GAS motorcycles are not for road riders, in fact they are so niche that they are usually fuelled by Carburettors and have two stroke engines!  Being a Two stroke engine you should expect that these motorcycle are for experienced riders, in fact the whole model range is for buyers looking for a purely off road motorcycles to test their skills. In fact how these motorcycle perform is directly related to how good the rider is rather than biased to it’s technical specifications just like an Enduro event…

GAS GAS motorcycles are also a mystery in terms of engine power output, emissions and all the usual regulatory stuff road motorcycle have to publish. Fair enough and with all the parts listed and maintenance manuals you can download from the website it should be easy enough to do some impressive performance mods.
