Historical Price of petrol in Australia – 2009

Blast from the Past! – Reposting scattered content from 2008 – Price of unleaded petrol in Australia. Location is mostly around Victoria Australia. (Note that is is my personal record, nothing to do with official statistics. Prices are for 91 Octane unleaded petrol.)

February 2009 – I paid on average $1.18 a litre for petrol.

March 2009 – Once again the price I paid averaged $1.18

April 2009 – Once again the price I paid averaged $1.16

May 2009 – Once again the price I paid averaged $1.18 – $1.179 to be exact  -all the stats I put up are rounded up for simplicity.

$135.9o to be exact all the stats I put up are rounded up for simplicity.

July 2009 – I experienced a priced drop!  July’s average price paid was $1.20.
Admittedly I didn’t use much petrol since I had the flu.

August 2009 – I only filled up once this month and paid $1.29 per litre.

September 2009 – I again only filled up once this month and paid $1.26 per litre.

October 2009 – Opps!  Extra late post on petrol prices! I didn’t have to fill up on petrol this month! Why? I was on an extended work and holiday trip.

November 2009 – I paid on average $1.14 per litre this month. I should add from now on that this is price for 91Octane unleaded as opposed to the higher 95octance or above.

December 2009 – Since I filled up today (23-12-2009) it will definitely be the last time for 2009! I paid $1.17 per litre this month. I should add from now on that this is price for 91 Octane unleaded NOT the higher 95 octane or above.
