Honda GB350
Honda GB350

For 2025 Honda have released an updated GB350. Yes, GB350 not a CB350 which is what you’d typically expect from them. Honda did make a CB350 model too that is similar in looks. Anyway I’m digressing from the topic: The Honda GB350 is a retro styled bike that was released a few years ago but I have never covered until now.

In term of design, it is no surprise that Honda have released a competitor to the small capacity retro styled motorcycle class. Royal Enfield Classic for example have sold at least half million of their original model, the 350 Classic range since release. So  the GB350 is very 60’s generic with echoes of the other British motorcycles and the original CB350. We suspect model name was inspired by the British motorcycles of the same period. but

In terms of engines and tech the Honda GB350 does not have anything that could be called leading edge  but none of its competitors do either. The GB350 and class is not about having the latest but about having the look, attitude, emotion and basics of riding a motorcycle. In fact the marketing material doesn’t mention any about engine power.

Is the Honda GB350 worth buying? Of course it’s worth buying if you are in the hunt for a retro styled motorcycle or want to experience the essence of being a motorcyclist. It’s a Honda so basic maintenance is all that is required to keep it going for a lifetime (a long time) what ever that may mean.
