It’s hot!

Yes thanks to high temperatures – over 40’C during the day and about 28’C as I write this post I won’t be writing anything vaguely new just a rehash of my views on climate change.

Now, the planet is getting extreme weather events. All historical measurements, infrared from space etc… prove this beyond doubt. Extreme weather happens a part of a natural cycle it usually as a means of self correction as lead to believe. However with so many of these events happening over a short period of time will lead to any vaguely normal person to assume something is wrong with the planet. Many like my self do believe that humans have contributed to the climate changing. (Eg. Dodo’s didn’t make themselves extinct and acid rain is definitely caused by humans and the resultant deforestation.)  You don’t get polar vortexes previously seen only in the movies and as fictional events actually occurring Eg. The day after tomorrow – look up the film its an Ok film to watch.

Of course my beef is with the climate change deniers and others who actually think humans are not blame – who have their political and commercial lobbyists support. They should be moved to the places where the results of human activity has destroyed the natural environment. They no longer need to live next to a coal power station or abandoned open cut mine. They should be treated with disgust like the tobacco lobbists originally denying the link the to cancer! They need to live in the hotspots in China and India to learn that humans are making a mess of the planet, where clean air, water and uncontaminated food is something special.

This also brings up the current pollution problems in China. A country seemingly made of accountants and technologists who’s aim is simply to copy existing technology will not solve the problem the country is facing. Like other countries that have solved the problems Germany, Japan UK etc… in the past they need to develop new tech. It would appear that they lack the creative element of society the troublesome arts students, missing history students and university dropouts who seem to be able to develop stuff outside the analysis of spreadsheet.

At least China and India are learning hard way and cleaning up their act but what about the other influential zones and countries like the US, Europe and now the poor record of Australia?

Sure us consumers are to blame but for our endless wants but our leaders should be the ones to do something about it. That is their job. There’s no point is pandering to minorities when the whole world is so obviously in danger! Thus they should be forever named as the destroyers of the planet – fiddling while the world dies.
