Price of fuel May 2016

The average price of petrol I paid during May 2016 averaged $1.15 per litre for 91 Octane unleaded add 10-12 cents for 95 Octane and usually 15-20 cents for 98 Octane. Since I didn’t need to fill up for most of the month I can only say that it dropped under $1.10 towards the end of the month and increasing to $1.29 in the last week. See my Instagram as to why I can’t report much!

Note that fuel prices vary according to area and the level of competition and a whole heap of other factors like shopping discounts and so forth, however unreasonable high prices (relative to crude oil prices) is greed. I also need to add that Australian government tax on fuel is currently 38.6 cents per litre and thanks to the government Liberal I must add is responsible for indexation to CPI so prices will rise permanently twice a year!
