Price of Petrol in September 2019

priceofpetrolThe price of petrol I paid during September 2019 averaged $1.60  per litre for 91 Octane unleaded petrol add up to 15 cents more for 95 Octane petrol and usually up to 25 cents for 98 Octane petrol, location is Melbourne Australia.

With the bombing of Saudi Arabia oil fields the highest price I saw was 24 hours  after and that was $1.72 per litre which is pure and simple rip off. It should take a few weeks before the prices start jumping not 48 hours.

The last time I looked diesel was still priced around $1.48 per litre which is still quite expensive compared to unleaded. Strangely it did not go up as the price of unleaded confirming the general opinion and now fact that petrol companies and retailers are ripping consumers off.

Note that fuel prices vary according to area, the level of competition and a whole heap of other factors like shopping discounts and so forth, however unreasonable high prices (relative to crude oil prices) is greed. Also note that the Octane level I post here represents Australian measurement which is different from those in other countries eg. US.
