Sennheiser CX400BT True Wireless Earphone Review

Welcome to my really cheap wireless earphones / true wireless earphones reviews series. The Sennheiser CX400BT True Wireless are not cheap at RRP but they do go on special and that’s when I got them as per the last model.

The Sennheiser CX400BT True Wireless is the entry level model for the ‘wireless’ range. (True wireless meaning there is no cord between the earbuds and the phone or other device.) All the reviews I read said they where one or the best compared to the Momentum model. Their regular retail pricing is the same as the Apple Airpods when not on sale but when on sale is usually much less.

In terms of construction the CX400BT are very good. Hard to fault the fit and finish. However the materials while looks and feel good do not give the impression of expense but the matte black color is quite stylish. Overall the design is not flashy, nor do they look anything special. The design of the earbuds means that they sound better when fitted properly and well worth the effort for the sound quality.

In terms of use the CX400BT work just as well as the Airpods. Once paired via bluetooth they connect automatically once turned on and I have not encountered any connection problems. The control panels on both earbuds are touch sensitive and you can change what they do via the app. The Sennheiser – Smart Control App has basic equaliser you and adjust. The App has been refined since release and works much better now – I have no current complaints. Battery life I have had so far is at least 3-4 hours and much more when you use the carry case. They fit in my ears and don’t fall out and I rarely have to adjust their positioning.

The Sennheiser CX400BT sound quality is the key factor in me actually carrying these around. They sound amazing for small and wireless earphones. Clarity and details in the music track I never noticed are clear. You can tell what are real instruments like Cymbals and maracas and even the split second tone and vocal sound level adjustments. Likewise electronic music sound so tone and timed perfectly. Bass is low and tight and not over blown. In fact I turn the bass up just to experience their sonic clarity and know that it won’t destroy the music overall balance. Overall amazing sound sound quality for the price.

Apart from being on sale I bought the Sennheiser CX400BT because I wanted a fuller sound aka bass and these fit perfectly. I can’t downgrade to the Airpods after using these.
