Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT

For 2025 Suzuki have just announced the release of the retro looking GSX-8T and GSX-8TT models. It is based on the GSX-8S model that was released in 2023 with the still relatively new parallel twin engine. Unlike the contemporary looking GSX-8S which is a semi-faired sport-ish motorcycle in the vein of KTM,  the GSX-8T and the 8TT have the on trend retro styling revisions. The website currently says November 2025. 

In terms of retro looks the Suzuki GSX-8TT is arguably the best interpretation of the pair as it does resemble any number of 70’s model. However the missing side exhaust is a disappointment especially it is a visually retro inspired model. I also think it is missing 2 cylinders which is again visually required – no other reason. 

In terms of tech the GSX-8T and 8TT has the same features of clutch less gear changes up and down the range, more useful instrument panel but with only 6 colours – I think, power modes, easy start system and refined EFI with more curves to choose from automatically, LED lights everywhere and finally App connectivity. App connectivity is limited so you can’t set any of the bike functions but that could change at any time as it is all software  after all.  It also has a USB-C charging port which most will find useful. 

In terms of engines the GSX-8T and 8TT does not make an outstanding amount of power and torque but they promised tuning for more low and mid ranger rideability. The engine has nearly 800cc so it is an interesting foot note. 

Is the Suzuki GSX-8T or 8TT worth buying it? Yes but not at it’s current and indicative pricing of $19,000 AUD on the road. On paper it is not impressive and unless it truly looks outstanding the flesh? (I am yet to see one at the time of this post – July 2025).
