Suzuki TF125
Suzuki TF125

Welcome to the Suzuki TF125 specifications and showroom review for 2020. This is Suzuki’s only entry into the two wheeled farm motorbike class and it has a unique feature that keeps buyers coming back. Mind you there aren’t many buyers in the class.

In terms of design Suzuki TF125 is typical of the farm motorcycle class having the nicest engine baseplate I’ve seen, largest mud flaps and appropriate bar work for the protection of the more fragile components. It is not a traditionally good looking motorbike by 2020 standards more 1970’s hence retro would be the best style description.

In terms of engine and technology the Suzuki TF125 is the only 2 stroke engine in the class. In fact it’s the only two stroke engine I’ve seen in decades. 2 Stokes are reputed to be easily tuned and potentially over powered hence difficult to ride – for example, due to all or nothing power delivery and other ‘features’ but this is a farm bike and it has simplicity and serviceability that 4 strokes can’t match. It’s also tuneable or mod friendly if you are into the sort of thing. The oil is premixed and all air cooled so it is a very simply motorbike to run. That said the pollution output is pretty high. The Suzuki TF125 is not road legal and definitely not learner or LAMS compliant.

As a result the Suzuki TF125 is the 7th best motorcycle for the farm in 2019 selling 52 units. This sales number is slightly down from 54 in 2018.
