Price of fuel July 2016

The price of petrol I paid during July 2016 averaged $1.20 per litre for 91 Octane unleaded add 10-12 cents for 95 Octane and usually 15-20 cents for 98 Octane. It was around $1.10 for the prior first to weeks of July and bumped up to $1.30 for the last week which was surprising.

Note that fuel prices vary according to area and the level of competition and a whole heap of other factors like shopping discounts and so forth, however unreasonable high prices (relative to crude oil prices) is greed.

Price of fuel April 2016

The average price of petrol I paid during April 2016 averaged $1.25 per litre for 91 Octane unleaded add 10-12 cents for 95 Octane and usually 15-20 cents for 98 Octane. Prices didn’t vary much during the month.

Diesel was priced around the  $1.11 per litre the last time I looked.

Note that fuel prices vary according to area and the level of competition and a whole heap of other factors like shopping discounts and so forth, however unreasonable high prices (relative to crude oil prices) is greed. I also need to add that Australian government tax on fuel is currently 38.6 cents per litre and thanks to the government Liberal I must add is responsible for indexation to CPI so prices will rise permanently twice a year!
