Yamaha V-Max (2nd Generation)

This page is dedicated to the 2nd generation Yamaha V-Max or 2009 V-max. I don’t usually post unreleased motorcycles but since their taking money I presume it will be publicly available (September 2008).

The new V-max by specifications alone has earned a place on this site, being one of the most powerful production motorcycle in the world today! Furthermore one of the most expensive too! Estimated price $29,000 AUS there is no official price until you put a deposit down.

It’s essentially Yamaha’s top of the range model based on price alone. It’s technical specifications are certainly very good too but nothing new.

Gone are the days when advertising of dubious performance figures are acceptable and Yamaha promises and genuine 200bhp or 147.2Kw from the new V-Max. Judging from specs alone that is entirely believable. This motorcycle is built for straight line speed and cafe set looks.

After seeing the the new V-Max in the flesh I am not entirely impressed. The original bike has a raw genuine muscle bike even industrial look and feel. The new one just looks like dare say a too refined… For this sort of money consider the Harley V-Rod but only for looks. If you want real power then the answer is this!
