Suzuki DR200S
Suzuki DR200S

Welcome to the Suzuki DR200S motorcycle specifications and showroom review for 2020. The DR200S is the road legal version of the Suzuki Trojan the Farming motorbike  – AG bike. However in the DR200S specification it is a trail motorbike.

The Suzuki Dr200S has been around for decades but they have done a great job in keeping the styling up to date. You would be hard pressed to tell that for the motocross inspired plastics that the mechanicals are essentially over 20 years old. The DR200S is also LAMS or Learner friendly so if you want a motorbike you can keep beyond the restrictions, aka when you go off road riding then the DR200S is a great first motorcycle from a financial and practicality point of view. You’d buy the Suzuki DR200S for it’s price, size, looks, LAMS and reliability.

In terms of technical specifications the Suzuki DR200S is not direct version of the Suzuki Trojan – as I noticed that there are plumbing differences. There are some extra pipes on the Trojan to the oil filter and crank case while they are missing on the DR200S. There are other features missing include: dual side stands and clutch lock but the DR200S gains extra foot pegs for a passenger. I can only guess that the changes are related to emission controls on the DR200S. Not sure how long the DR200S can stay on production due to ever tightening emissions rules.

As a result the Suzuki DR200S is 10th most popular and best selling trail motorcycles in Australia 2019 selling 101 units. This sales number is up from 97 in 2018.
