Honda XR 150L
Honda XR150L

Welcome to the Honda XR 150L specifications and showroom review for 2020. The X150L is not a dedicated farm motorcycle rather one that straddles the farm and LAMS classes hence the ‘L’ suffix. The XR150L is the replacement for the older 125L and the ‘little bro’ of the newer XR190AG.

In terms of looks the XR150L is a small but good looking motorcycle. more so than other farm motorbikes like the Yamaha AG series. Since it is given the XR model prefix it does look like Honda’s series of dual purpose motorcycles. It won’t be confused with the CR series of enduro motorbikes though.

In terms of engine and technology, the XR150L is more a high rise CB150 if they made them. As a result it’s a old tech durable components which include the air cooled engine. It is missing the dual side stands and clutch lock but it does have some bar work. Overall there is nothing fancy about the XR150L unless you consider a digital instrument panel ‘fancy’ .

The selling features for the XR150L would be it’s relative low price tag, sporty off road looks, brand kudos and it’s ability to be registered for road use under LAMS or learner compatible. As a result the Honda XR150L is the 4th best selling farm motorcycle in 2019 selling 175 units. This sales number is down  from 285 in 2018, possibly due to the release of the XR190 in the same time period.
