Update of 02/11/2002 Huge week ! – I have shifted to a new server so everything that wasn’t working should be working now. Quite a few updates and updates to email addresses as I have once again been targetted for spam. However this time I have the server logs to determine who and how and when the person, group or company is extracting the email addresses.
I am bikeless for the first time in 10 years; is an interesting experience. Now every bike rider seems to be having more fun than I am. Mind you in reality that’s not always the case but mostly true.
So what am I getting around in these days ? Funny you should ask – its a new Suzuki Grand Vitara Sports Wide 2dr. Sure it may not be the best in its class etc, etc, but at least its a semi-serious 4wd. It’s also not a road hog unlike others models.
So what attracted me to the thing :
It’s good value for money.
Doors don’t wobble when you shut them.
It can carry alot of stuff on the very trek back home.
It comes standard with alot of features.
It can do dirt.
It looks good in a rugged sort of way…but it certainly won’t win an beauty contests male or female.
Things that Suzuki should really get fixed ASAP :
You only get 1 remote door locker thing. – What the F… is this crap.
There is no intrument light dimmer.
LSD on the rear for proper 4wd-ing thanks.
Alloy wheels should be standard.
The car was ready within the week which was good, however what was not, where the absence of the alloy wheels which not available at the time of delivery I negotiated for them as the primary reason for purchase to be installed as part of the final price but apparently they ran out of them. Needless to say I am not very pleased when I found out that they where not available. In good faith I took delivery of the car with the appropriate measures so I was told for the ordering of the wheels. I’m not naming the dealer yet as they claim the wheels are on order now and will be installed on my new car by the first service. Least I give them the chance to reveal their honestly or otherwise. Update : 10/11 As promised the wheels turned up and 1st service done without any problems. I’ll be putting up a new page for the car shortly as this site for bikes.
