Honda CTX200
Honda CTX200

Welcome to the Honda CTX200 Bushlander specifications and showroom review for 2020. Although the CTX200 has been discontinued, there is clearly some stock left in the warehouse or imported from Brazil where older models are still being made and sold.

Note that the CTX200 appears to be a re-release of the 80’s Honda XL200 which was a decent trail bike in the day. Although they share engine capacity they do not appear to be technically related although some shared parts is not out the question. I haven’t bothered to research since it is out of scope, regardless both have been discontinued for many years now and that’s not the point of this particular write up.

In terms of design CTX200 is clearly a trail bike that has been re-tuned and reclassified as a farm motorcycle or AG motorbike. It has dated styling but it’s not exactly a retro for 2020, which seems to be the trend in this class. Timeless design is arguably the best description of its styling… The CTX20o is definitely typical of the class having bar work for protection from damage when it is inevitably dropped, or run into solid objects. However I don’t think it’s armor is as good as the others in the class.

In terms of tech and engines the CTX200 has few modern features to write about. It does come equipped with the obligatory dual side stands, clutch lock and kick starter, which are expected in this class of motorcycle. The low tech nature of the CTX200 means that it should be simple, durable and serviceable.

The CTX200 Bushlander in standard trim is not road legal hence not LAMS or learner compliant. As a result the Honda CTX200 is the 8th most popular farm motorcycle or ag-bike in 2019 selling 9 units. This sales number is down from 20 in 2018.
