Husqvarna TE630 and SM630 Preview

The Husqvarna TE630 and SM630 are another set of twin cylinder trail/super-moto motorcycles which are learner compatible. Yes, thanks to LAMS regulations selected motorcycles with engine capacities greater than 250cc but have the correct power to weight ratios can be ridden by new riders.

Not many people are aware of Husqvarna as a motorcycle manufacturer outside the motorcycling circle or those into  dress making because another company with a similar name makes them. Husqvarna motorcycle are currently owned by BMW – which does not say much.

Th SM630 is the road based supermotard and the TE630 is the trail bike focused model. There are  clear specification differences between them although the basis are still the same but I can’t see the point of putting up separate pages. The high torque and relative light weight means it is a zippy commuter and off road machine.

The only issues with the TE and SM630 is the small fuel tank which gives them a safe range of 250km and the seat height of 910-930mm which means only those with longs legs will feel any comfort around town. Note that the SM version is no longer sold here.

I guess either motorcycles are for those who want something different and those who can physically ride them safely. Just remember that are plenty of other motorcycles that are just as good or better to choose from. See the KTM200 post as an example.
