Basically the problem with my Surface RT was that the battery would no longer charge. The charger that came in the box was the standard US one but it was an international model that could handle overseas voltages. The charger was still working it was the battery inside the tablet that was broken. So I returned the tablet – unfortunately it had not been released in Australia. After some drama someone did come to pick it up for a return.
Here’s the update. After nearly 3 weeks I have finally received my replacement Surface RT tablet. Three weeks is a very long time to wait as other items I’ve been sent off have been replaced in under 7 days. Eg. Dell, Gateway and Apple are much better with returns. That said at least the support staff were good to deal with.
