Yamaha YZF-R3 release information

2015_yzfr25Welcome to the Yamaha R3 release information page. Like the YZF-R25 the YZF-R3 is a forth coming release in most parts of the world. The R3 is clearly targeted at the likes of the CBR300R and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and sets its self apart by claim power figures in excess of those by Honda or Kawasaki making it the most power motorcycle in the 300cc  class.

It was enviable that Yamaha had to join the 300cc club as all the Japanese competitors have already released this new class on the public for very sound economic reasons. However apart from the press material there is very little to say about the forth coming model and even if it will be arriving in the country. And yes the R3 and the R25 engine is essentially a bored/stroked out version of the same models like the Honda CBR and Kawasaki Ninja.

The added bonus to all this is that Yamaha have never had a small capacity ‘sports’ looking motorcycle in the country and hence won’t be lumped into the learner rider stereo type when cruising on the road.  If marketed and priced correctly the R3 stands to be a pretty decent motorcycle to go for.

Update: The Yamaha YZF-R3 have arrived in the country and should be for sale just in time for summer 2014 and onwards.
