Watch Journey – Why do you want a divers watch?

If you’ve searched for the answer to this question, you have probably been asked the question why do you want to buy or have a divers watch when you don’t do any diving? I guess this is the ultimate question in the watch world? So how do you answer the ultimate question? Although the question is asked as a challenge and is perfectly legitimate, it’s still awkward to be asked. (Especially if in a watch store.)

You may have also read many articles as to why people buy a diver’s watch but none have answered the question and none seem to be written by anyone with genuine thought or answer apart from wanting another by line. 

So ready for another world first? The answer to the question of why you want a divers watch?:  Simply, I want to buy a divers watch because they look good to me. Just like people to buy Tennis shoes, basketball shoes especially running shoes and have no intention of doing any of those activities. 

An alternate answer to why ‘I want a divers watch?’ is because it’s properly water resistant according to my use case which is swimming and splashing around the yacht. Afterall divers watches are supposed to be the most durable conventional watches that are not G-Shocks.
