Update of 17/03/2002  This is the first entry into the new ‘Weekly Updates’ section.
When you’re new to a city you can’t things for granted. One thing is that traffic flows and drivers go very differently and of course there are different written and unwritten rules. So what did I do ? Well take it easy of course.

Riding from a city (Darwin) with little traffic to a city (Melbourne) with huge mobs of traffic is certainly a new experience and something which I enjoyed although still not confident. Riders in Victoria are 99% friendly and something which helped me settle in whilst I was there.

Yet I have to move back again and have to deal with a new set of road traffic. One thing that occured to me as I was on the Hume Hwy to Sydney was that this is indeed a very boring stretch of road. Next time it will be via the coastal road.
And what’s Darwin like now. Well, its hasn’t changed. That’s saying enough I think.
