I’ve already covered the most popular or best selling motorbikes in Australia but you may also be wondering what are the most popular Super Sports bikes.

The Super Sports motorcycle category will always be in demand and popular, there are plenty of models to choose from – apparently. I think the brands are not focused on what is actually a Super sports motorcycle. I believe a Super sports motorcycle is a motorcycle that is one of the most powerful for it’s class using the latest technology and construction materials and handles or can be ridden on the track faster than any others irrespective of engine capacity. This definition is very simple that anyone own the street would provide.

The FACI or VFACTS categories them or rather the brands who have probably submitted the classifications of the particular motorcycles combined the general Sports motorcycle with Super bikes, two classes of motorcycles which is confusing. The following comment will probably irritate some. The Ninja 400, CBR500R, CBR300R included on the list are not Super sports bikes. Sure they look traditionally sporty but with merely enough power and commuter suspension setup, weight distribution and material components they aren’t close to the definition. Their relatives from 1990’s the ZXR400, NC30 VFR400, YZF400 are what more what super sports bikes in this category should be. That said at least the others on the list have more claim to be super sports motorcycles.
